| Problem:
Previous carpet could not withstand heavy traffic.
Soiling and staining were constant issues.
High maintenance costs due to frequent deep cleanings.
Solution:
DMC created a carpet specification using the highest quality
stain resistant nylon fiber (Antron Lumena®).
A special cushion backing was added (Tandus Powerbond®)
to eliminate seams and create an impermeable surface,
preventing spills from penetrating into the backing.
The pattern and colors were designed to camouflage spills
until cleaned.
Result:
High performance carpet inhibits soiling and staining.
Special backing keeps spills on the surface until cleaned.
New pattern and colors compliment the existing décor while camouflaging spills.
Maintenance costs and frequency have been reduced.
Carpet is 100% recyclable and has been demonstrated to save building energy costs.
